	Rugmark and Its Organizations

	RUGMARK is a global non-profit initiative working to end illegal child labour in Carpet Industry and offer Educational opportunities to such removed carpet children. It is a unique business-NGO co-operation for carpet producing and consuming countries. Through workplace Inspection, Monitoring and consumer labelling, RUGMARK label provides the best possible assurance that no child labour was used in the manufacture of a carpet or rug. However, RUGMARK broadly works for socially and environmentally responsible business practices. The international RUGMARK network operates in Nepal, India, Pakistan, Germany, the United States of America and United Kingdom. RUGMARK is also active in many other European countries, Canada and United Arab Emirates. RUGMARK International e.V., the governing international body registered in Germany, owns the RUGMARK trademark.

The main sources of income for Nepal RUGMARK is Label fees collected from Licensed exporters and importers collected through producing and marketing country foundations respectively. As Nepal RUGMARK is Labelling only a small fraction of the total export, it still receives donors' funds to meet the deficit. UNICEF/Nepal is the major donor at present.

	Children have been re-united with their families right from the beginning. However, in the beginning, it was purely based on willingness of the children and their parents with a commitment for continued schooling of the children.
